Samantha Knowles-Pratt is an attorney with 25 years' experience specializing in financial services and corporate law, securities and investment funds as well as banking and compliance and regulatory matters. She has served as a senior attorney and partner with a few of the major law firms in The Bahamas as well as in a management capacity at the Securities Commission of The Bahamas. In the past, Samantha has advised on complex issues particular to corporate and commercial law as well as on regulatory and legal matters particular to regulated entities such as banks and trust companies, registered firms, and financial and corporate service providers. She also has considerable experience with private wealth management structures, inclusive of IBC's, CAC's investment funds, segregated accounts companies, trusts, purpose trusts and private trust companies. Her career has also afforded her the opportunity to train staff, senior management and directors of financial institutions on areas such as company management (inclusive of segregated accounts companies and investment funds), anti-money laundering, corporate governance, CESRA, BOSS, FATCA and CRS as well as trusts and foundations. Samantha is member in good standing with The Bahamas Bar and is also a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. She holds the designation of Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) (awarded by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, STEP) and is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) (holding membership with the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, ACAMS).
